The Official FFGA Club Shirt

The objective is to have a uniform appearance for club members when they greet an incoming exchange or attend an appropriate event during an outbound exchange.
The first thing you will notice is that they are green. Bright green - the shade of green you associate with our Friendship Force name badges.
The club logo you see on page one of this newsletter is embroidered in white above the left pocket on the men's shirt. It is in the same place on the woman's shirt, but there is no pocket. There are men’s and woman's style shirts. The men’s shirt has a button-down collar. The woman's shirt has a straight collar, and it tapers to the waist. Both styles come in long or short sleeves. They are available in five sizes: small, medium, large, extra large and extra-extra large. Those who have tried them on tend to think they run a little small, especially the ladies sizes.

Many FFGA members wear a distinctive green shirt with our logo when they arrive at an exchange destination, or as hosts, when they congregate at the airport to greet arriving ambassadors. Since we are encouraged to "stand out" in the crowd during such occasions, we would like to offer to all members the opportunity to purchase a vest (buttonless, with pockets), that match our shirts with respect to color, material and logo. The club is subsidizing these vests, and we can offer them to you at $15 each. They come in 4 sizes (M to XXL), but appear to be almost a size smaller than marked. If you do not want to purchase a vest, they will be available for rental, at a rate of $5 per exchange. Vests have one advantage over shirts in that they can be slipped on easily over almost any regular clothes at the last minute, so you would not need to be wearing them during the journey.
